E/e-mark

The E symbol originates from the Regulation issued by the Economic Commission of Europe (ECE). At present, the ECE includes 28 European countries, including non European countries such as Eastern and Southern Europe, in addition to EU member states. ECE regulations are recommended for members to apply, not mandatory standards. Member states can apply ECE regulations or extend their own regulations. Currently, based on market demand, ECE members are usually willing to receive test reports and certificates that comply with ECE regulations. The products involved in the E-mark certificate are components and system parts, and there are no corresponding regulations for vehicle certification. Products that have obtained E-mark certification are accepted by the market. Common E-mark certified products in China include car light bulbs, safety glass, tires, warning triangles, and automotive electronic products. The executing testing agency for E-mark certification is generally the technical service agency of ECE member states. The issuing authority of the E-mark certificate is the government department of ECE member states.

The e-mark is a certification mark for motor vehicles, safety components, and systems that the European Commission mandates member states to use in accordance with EU directives. The testing agency must be a technical service agency within an EU member state, and the certification agency must be the transportation department of the EU member state government. Products that have obtained the e-Mark certification will be recognized by all EU member states.

Whether it is the E mark or the E mark certification, the product must first pass testing, and the quality assurance system of the manufacturing enterprise must also meet at least the requirements of ISO9000 standards. Our company can provide standard guidance and sample prediction for production enterprises before certification, greatly improving the pass rate. Our efficient, fast, and professional services not only provide certification for you, but also include factory inspection guidance, standard updates, certificate updates, shipment inspections, and other aspects to ensure that your company's products are widely recognized in Europe.

Whole vehicle - refers to electric vehicles with two or more wheels, such as passenger cars, trucks, motorcycles, buses, and off-road vehicles.

Components - car lights and bulbs, various mirrors, tires, wheels, brakes, horns, anti-theft devices, seat belts, car glass and exhaust pipes, and other automotive parts - safety helmets, child safety seats, car accessories, etc.

Since October 2002, it has been mandatory for all vehicles, vehicle components, and electronic products used in vehicles to undergo EMC testing. All electronic components sold in Europe must comply with the EMC Directive 95/54/EC, and self declarations made in accordance with the EMC Directive 89/336/EEC will no longer be valid. Instead, the EU authorized vehicle product announcement body will issue an E/e Mark certificate. This means that the CE (EMC) certification originally applied for vehicle electronics and electronic components will no longer be valid from October 2002. They must reapply for an E/e Mark certificate issued by the European Ministry of Transport before they can be sold in the European market.

The E/e-Mark logo is divided into two forms, one is a rectangular frame and the other is a circular frame, representing different meanings:

(1) Rectangular frame refers to products that can be used normally instead of being necessary when the vehicle is stopped or in motion, such as car chargers, car lamps/flashlights, car air pumps, car massage/heating seat cushions, car fans, car electric kettles, car refrigerators, car coffee pots, car TVs/speakers, car electric jacks, car vacuum cleaners, car electric tools, etc.

(2) Circular frame refers to products that must be used when the vehicle is stopped and in motion, such as windshields, seat belts, headlights, etc. The numbers 1, 2,... 13 inside the outer frame represent the codes of different EU member states that issued the e-Mark certificate. For example, 1 represents Germany, 4 represents the Netherlands, 13 represents Luxembourg, 24 represents Ireland, and so on, which is the e-Mark certificate issued by the Ministry of Transport of the country indicated by that code.

Certificates from various countries have corresponding numbers:

E1- Germany E2- France E3- Italy E4- Netherlands E5- Sweden E6- Belgium E7- Hungary E8- Czech E9- Spain E10- Yugoslavia E11- UK E12- Austria E13- Luxembourg E14- Switzerland E16- Norway E17- Finland E18- Denmark E19- Romania E20- Poland E21- Portugal E22- Russia E23- Greece E25- Croatia E26- Slovenia E27- Slovakia E28- Belarus E29- Estonia E31- Bosnia and Herzegovina E37- Türkiye
